DUET and DUE PANEL
Re: DUET and DUE PANEL
4.3" LCDs should be here this week. It looks like 7" LCDs won't ship until after the CNY.
Duex4 should be here in a couple weeks, along with resupply of the Duet as I'm down to 1 currently and will be out of stock soon.
EDIT: now OOS on Duet.

Elmoret, I do not like to appear stupid but what does after the CNY mean?

No problem, I should have thought of that but my thought creating machine is not producing thoughts in the quantity of thoughts it used to thought of.elmoret wrote:Yes, Chinese New Year - sorry.
Re: DUET and DUE PANEL
Here is an updated model with added brackets for the PaneDue controller and Duex4. Not sure what others are doing, but I am planning to replace the rambo by using mhackney bracket for the Duet board and attaching this bracket to the Melamine of the V2.

My 3D-Printing learning curve is asymptotic to a Delta's X, Y and Z-axes
Re: DUET and DUE PANEL
Received a couple of new roles of filament. Black was delayed so I used transparent black. Not totally excited about the "color" but I'm am going to use these. Maybe I'll reprint them later but at 50 hours of printing it can wait.
Everything fits very well. Now I just need to decide when to pull the Rambo and make the change.
Of note I printed this with the Diamond and so far it has been really good. You can see I did have a shift in the print which is unusual for me???
I haven't had the stringing with the Diamond as Polygonhell has mentioned before. I am printing something in Black today which is more complicated and we will see what happens with stringing (I will post settings at the time).

I've been looking for a transparent black like that! Please let me know where you found it.

Re: DUET and DUE PANEL
Looks similar to the hatchbox transparent black I got a year ago or so.
Re: DUET and DUE PANEL
Yeah, the HB looks right, thanks!

It was HB! I really like their filament.

Re: DUET and DUE PANEL
Would anyone like to Print that enclosure that 3D-Print has in his post for me? My rostock is down right now for the conversion to a metal max and I'll happily pay for it.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Re: DUET and DUE PANEL
This is Jfettig's design. What is your time frame for these. Pending how quick you want I maybe able to print them.DerStig wrote:Would anyone like to Print that enclosure that 3D-Print has in his post for me? Re: DUET and DUE PANEL
Just finished printing jfettig's double extruders that I modified (stretched the lower part such that it will rise above the upper plate). There was some stringing and mostly in my support material. However, I did forget to drop the temp of the HotEnd from 230. I will print something else at a lower temp and see what happens.

Re: DUET and DUE PANEL
Here were my setting for the double extruder bracket:
Filament: HatchBox 1.72 ABS Black
Bed: 100 with PEI
Diamond HotEnd: 230 C (I usually run my HotEnd at 222)
Extrusion multiplier: 1.0
Frist layer 0.2 mm
Perimeters = 3
Top and bottom layers = 4
Touching Skirts = 3 loops
Infill: Triangles at 30%, 40 mm/sec
Speed: Inside=40 mm/s, Outside=35 mm/s, Support material = 40mm/sec,Bridges = 60 mm/sec, Travel - 300 mm/sec, First layer = 12 mm/sec
Retraction length on move: 6.8mm
Z-Lift: 1 mm
Extra length on restart: 0.1 mm
Min travel requiring retraction: 10 mm
Min extrusion before retract: 1.5mm
No wipe
Extrusion width for support material: 0.6
Sliced with Matterslice via Mattercontrol 1.4
Support:
Type: Line at 60 degrees
Pattern spacing: 4 mm
Infill angle: 45 degrees
Interface layers = 0
Z-gap = 1
Support Everywhere is checked

Re: DUET and DUE PANEL
Duet, Duex4, PanelDue, and 4.3" LCD are all back in stock. Still waiting on the 7" LCDs.
Re: DUET and DUE PANEL
Any eta on the 7"?
Now that I have my v2 assembled and running I have caught the bug. Really I just want the ability to connect/control remotely as my printer is in another room. Running around with the SD card is getting old :p. Also going to add in the e3d so I can print some of the higher temp stuff. Just trying to one stop shop as much as possible.
Thanks!

Re: DUET and DUE PANEL
Tracking shows the 7" arriving on Friday. I'll add it to the site now.
Re: DUET and DUE PANEL
Thanks! I just checked and the option is there but it's free when adding to cartelmoret wrote:Tracking shows the 7" arriving on Friday. I'll add it to the site now.

On a side note, is the cable recommend over the connector? And is the IR sensor all I need additional for the auto leveling?
Thanks again, sorry to be a pest.
Re: DUET and DUE PANEL
Yeah, I was in the middle of setting up the product and all kinds of strange things happen in that scenario. Should be squared away now.
The pre-made cable is for folks that don't want to crimp their own. Its a balance between cost and time for the end user, for someone that has the tools on hand they might like to crimp theirs themselves to save a few bucks.
The IR sensor is all you need, though you'd need a cable to connect it to your controller board.

Re: DUET and DUE PANEL
Is there a good link for the IR sensor and how to set it up? Thanks!elmoret wrote:The IR sensor is all you need, though you'd need a cable to connect it to your controller board.
