Extruder is not functioning (Fixed)

Post by Puresteel »

I have gotten to the point of getting the extruder ready after having finished calibrating the XYZ. The other motors all work great and I was starting to think I was hitting smooth sailing. Then when I got to the point where it tells me to press the "E+" button to extrude some filament, it doesn't do anything. It doesn't go backwards, it doesn't click or whir or make any noise or move at all. My hot end was heated to 190 and I believe it is wired correctly. I double checked to make sure the wires were spliced to the right counterparts. I pulled apart the bottom splices to the extruder motor wires and re-did them to make sure. Still getting nothing from it. So I thought I would check here and see if anyone has any idea what might be my problem?

use a multimeter and verify you get continuity on two pairs of wires. Make sure these two pairs match the rambo pinout. Make sure you plugged in the extruder stepper into the right extruder port on the rambo.
