Layer fan reduces to 9% during print

Post by Penged »

I just got my layer fan up and running ( homemeade berd air setup) and when I checked on my print the layer fan had somehow reduced down to 9%. Any thoughts?

Most slicers will let you specify a minimum and maximum fan speed. I'd look there first.

I think I found it. There is a setting in MC that reduces the speed for the first two layers. That brings me to a different question. How do i incorporate the fan speed into the file without having to adjust it maually?

See M106: Fan On located at http://reprap.org/wiki/G-code
This will show you all the parameters you can use with M106 and the command could be inserted in your start or stop scripts or within the STL gcode itself.
