Power Supply Fan Size

Post by Sakey »

I've got one of the new Power Supply (the new industrial one) but the fan noise is very loud when on. I was wondering if anyone has ever replaced the fan in this and if so does any one know what size of fan I would need to get to replace it?

Cheers

Sorry, but apparently no one has had to replace that fan. I recommend that you unplug the power supply and remove the screws holding the
case closed and measure the fan before ordering one. Best of luck and if you don't mind would you let us know what size the fan is?

Got around to doing this this weekend. For people looking to do this with the newer powersupply it's a Doceng 60mm x 60mm x 15mm fan in mine. I stumbled across and ordered one that should be 16db on full chat, should fix my noise issues nicely if it works....

Just to note, a 60x60x25mm fan does not fit. the case doesn't close as the fan is too fat.

It would fit only if it is 60x60x15mm. I share your respect for the Noctua fans.
The best fans made.

That's how I know a 60x60x25mm wont fit :( I tested it with the one I bought to replace the exhaust fan. They don't do a 60x60x15 version unfortunately.

No love for sunon maglev fans anyone? I really like those fans. Quiet.

I was just wondering whether it actually worked to make your Max3 significantly quieter?

Not sure if its the same PSU on the V3, but worked a treat on my V2 power supply. Loudest part on mine is now is the heatsink fan.
