Hello from Las Vegas NV

Post by Dante »

Hi All,

Just wanted to introduce myself. I recently received a new Eris and I am excited to be apart of the delta family. So with that, I have a bit of an odd issue I have never seen before. here is an example.
erisretro.JPG
you can see there is almost a netting effect. then it just solids up. I printed a tardis as well, and the whole thing looks like the bottom of the rocket.

I used mattercontrol, I have never used this interface. Normally I usae cura and upload to octoprint on my wanhao. Any thoughts would be great as I really like this printer and want to use it

Thanks
Dana

Hi Dante! welcome.
To be honest, I've never seen that issue before. It looks like a dirichlet tessellation!

I hope someone else can help you with that.

I would definitely try another slicer such as Cura and see if the results change.
Slicers have very specific settings and if the settings are not correct for the printer all sorts of problems can be seen.
Thank you for buying the Eris and I know that you can enjoy good prints with the proper slicer.
See the Eris sub-forum for settings recommendations. http://forum.seemecnc.com/viewtopic.php ... &start=250

Thanks for the link Eaglezsoar... Great information there. Also, I can't take credit for purchasing the Eris. It was a gift. BUT, I love the printer, even though I am having issues. It is a great design, easy to use and just pleasing to look at it. I will continue to go through the forum and get it all straightened out. Thanks Again!!!

Email our support if you haven't already.

Second, post a pic of the hot end. Be sure the retaining clip is on the PTC fitting. Your PTFE tubing is fully seated. If it's got plastic in there, no worries. heat up the hot end, then force down the PTFE tubing. If the PTFE isn't seated, you can jam. And it looks like it's jamming during retract. Which our new hot end doesn't have any problems retracting. So the PTFE must not be seated.

You're also welcome to email me direct steve@ seemecnc and I will answer your questions.
