Not sure if this should be cause for concern or not but when viewing my current prints through octoprint I am able to see vibrations on the metal supports for the x,y,z axis. I have slowed the print speed but didn't know if the printer vibrating when it moves would cause any issues in the prints. I have attached pictures of my latest print and wasn't sure if these vibrations would be causing any of the print issues.
Vibrations
Re: Vibrations
I accidently printed the part with 0 infill, and the vibrations and ringing went away. Below are two pictures of the prints side by side. On the left, is the one with 0 infill. The right has 25% infill for the first 1.65mm and then 5% infill for the rest. I'm not sure why that would cause the ringing and print issues I am seeing though.

Re: Vibrations
I'm guessing that what you're seeing is related to the wall thickness of the model and how your slicer is figuring out where to and where not to put infill. Combine that with a little bit of overextrusion possibly, and you'd have some interesting outer surfaces.
I'd try it with a different slicer as a test. Rotating the model would also be interesting.

Re: Vibrations
I'll give it a shot with a different slicer. I have been using Simplify3D. Is there another slicer that will allow a different infill percentage in different areas of the print? I will also try and rotate the object and see if the anomalies appear in the same area of the printer.
Re: Vibrations
One interesting thing I also noticed was in the second picture the shift I see in the layers is also on the inside of the model. It's like randomly halfway up and only of half of the model the layers shift and then go back and then shift again. But it is only on one area of the model and not all of the way around.
Re: Vibrations
I tried mattercontrol but forgot to change the nozzle size to 0.35mm. However it did get rid of the ringing, but didn't make a solid top layer. Turned out really good though.
