HE280 Hotend Temp Reading Issue

Hello,

I just installed the HE280 on my Max V2, and am having some thermistor issues. When I first fire up the machine it reads ambient but after a few minutes the temperature will shoot up to 150C. I have checked the wiring, and it all looks in tact, I tried flipping the thermistor leads at the board, but the machine will not boot up. The thermistor itself looks healthy, glass bead looks intact and I don't see any shorts to ground. If I remove the screw in the head it has no impact on the temperature reading.

Any ideas suggestions on how to troubleshoot this?
