My 2nd Introduction

Post by Red Sand »

Tonight I purchased an ERIS Delta

I'm excited about this - it will be in my office at work

I teach Engineering Graphics (and a few other courses) at the local university and I'm looking forward to being able to provide students with examples of 3D printed parts

We have a very nice 3D printing lab downstairs but they are very busy at the end of each semester and I hope to be able to give students an opportunity to print their parts (the vast majority of parts we print are within the ⌀4.9 x 6.5 height area of the ERIS).

I purchased a ROSTOCK MAX™ V2 - I believe when they were first introduced), but I never completed it - I ran the wires to the top, had a catastrophic event, and then life has been crazy busy since then, so this is why this is my "2nd Introduction" (ha)

I have some decent SolidWorks knowledge based on "real world experience" and would be willing to share some of the video tutorials I've created for students if anyone would find those helpful but . . . I would recommend MySolidWorks.com tutorials first (their part and assembly videos are very good).

Using this printer for my own personal use: I'm most interested in making some parts for two of my favorite hobbies:
  • FPV with rolling vehicles
  • Time-lapse photography
Thanks everyone,

RS

I want everyone to understand, there was nothing wrong with my ROSTOCK MAX™ V2

While I was completing the build of the Rostock printer I encountered a catastrophic event but this was not related to 3D printing - this event put my life on hold but now, things are much better, I'm closer to being "back to normal"

Apologies for any misunderstanding - I'll finish that printer . . . some day . . . :) . . .

Thank you
