It was an interesting surprise after the day I had today! I got up at 4:30am to drive to Brooklyn (4 hrs) for a meeting with the NYC subway system. Just south of Harford, CT was a major accident that stopped 4 lanes dead for over an hour. I was in the left lane. The clutch cable on my 2013 Subaru decided to break on a short uphill section. At first it wasn’t bad because we were all stopped. I had called 911 and AAA but an hour into it the traffic started moving and passing me on the shoulder and left and I couldn’t move or even get out of my car. It was terrifying! I could see jerks texting and talking (and shaving) and 2 came damned close to hitting me. Tow finally showed up and took me to a local garage. Luckily my wife was able to make the drive down to pick me up. Car is in CT and hopefully the bill won't be too high.

If it is the cable and not the slave or master, I wouldn't think the fix would be too bad.

Would have been nice if people would have given you room to throw it in neutral and roll it downhill over to the shoulder, but I'm sure that wasn't in the cards under the circumstances.

I had to take the call in my car driving home. Which made it much more painful than actually being there.

I'm still waiting to hear what the damage and $$ will be.

Hey man when do you think you'll receive it? I'd love to possibly head over and assist or just watch the build and to see the new v3 in action. I also went to NYC on Wednesday, small world lol

hopefully the subie will be okay!

@sLpFhaWK - in theory I don't have a problem with that but in practice it might be difficult to pull off due to my insane schedule. It hasn't been shipped yet. Once I get a shipment notice I'll be able to sort it all out.

Did you run into that traffic south of Hartford? Insane. I'm still waiting to hear on my subie.

I did not run into traffic on my way home thankfully, it was a long day and we didn't hit the road until 9:30 that night before heading home.

I know you're a busy man, but let me know when you're free and if it works out for both i'd like to be there, maybe we can record a build log for it and post it on youtube for people to see. that would be neat!

Ok, now that I actually have something to contribute I created a new thread mhackney's Reel V3 Build Thread. I'll lock this one. 16,000 views in 24 hrs though, impressive!
