Drawings at 99% - but Ima going straight to machine/build and then will post pics here. I have to have some suspense.
Binky, love the equation. I'm not so keen on the shiny - but I am keen on shiny/functional/precise.

Iteration...completely threw out the wings design this wknd, too much material, not enough value!
On the upside, the new design will fit any size Delta printer. Job is queued for Thursday, UPS says delivery today for my 2nd Rostock.

You didn't buy the Orion? If you don't mind me asking, what are your plans for the new Rostock? I'm just nosy.

[edit, got my 2nd Max kit today, looks like I'll be soldering Wednesday after getting back from the City of Sin.]
I redesigned everything this weekend to use three T-slot bars coming from the center. Each are held together with a 1/4" thick machined on both sides 120 degree "slice of PI" (six of them.) One of the slices has holes for the circuit board to sit horizontally. Another of the slices has holes for the Ezstruder top mount.
All you have to do is slide the T-slots into the six corner pieces and tighten down a set screw, attach the pies so that they're tight and it all should be square.
The corner design is similar to the attached drawing. I'm still sussing out fittings for the heated bed; however, I believe that they'll be simple threaded posts. Not 100% sure. I'll know by the end of the week which direction I go.
There are a variety of different T-slot bar suppliers and I may get more aggressive about the geometry of the keys as a result. Anything to ensure squareness here...
Here's a teaser for the corner pieces. This rendering does not have the "keys" for the slots.
It occurred to me that since some folks are buying these in the EU without the melamine, maybe there's a market too.
To answer your question specifically, it is just a matter of cutting a different lengths of t-slot.

That would be nice but the price you were thinking plus shipping and possible tax would make it cheaper to buy the kit
Keep us posted as if i haven't started making mine i may be interested for the right price
