Seeing the new R3 print it, I'd figure I'd give it a shot on my ORION.
6+ hours in it knocked down the columns on the very last layer trying to fill in the top :(...

Oh well, was fun to try and I got a photo right before the final layer....

That had to be a bummer but at least you got the picture.
Your calibration appears to be quite good to be able to print that.

I got my Orion after the contest was closed. UPS manhandled it and I've been calibrating it ever since I received it. Given that it managed to print this challenge, should I be happy with my calibration?

From viewing that print, your calibration seems to be excellent.
To enable us to advise further we would need a closeup of a print.

Here are some closeups (the best I could do with my phone).

The starting outline seems to never print immediately, then prints and peels, then prints and sticks. It's 0.37mm thick with a few bubbles in it. More flat rather than rounded.

The spiral bones (when removed from the plate, they look like wooly mammoth tusks :-)) look like they have fingerprints (i.e. I can see every digital step). Not smooth, yet I don't know yet how much smoothness I should expect. There seem to be small knurly knobs sticking out the sides, esp. nearest the top of the print (can be seen on the closeups looking like little beads of sweat).

I used the stock config from Rostock (for my Orion). I forgot to change the filament width so this was printed with width 1.75 instead of my averaged 1.64.

The z-calibration thingy looks pretty square but has a few pinholes. Side-on, I see that the layers are not perfectly aligned over top of each other.

Thanks in advance for any comments.
