I have once seen one of our softwares running on more than 50 machines at a facility in portugal. Each licence for minimum EUR 3.500,00 per seat. Cracked and installed by a distributor's clerk. Many uneducated people think that software writes itself alone and software engineers only need pizza plus a haircut on a yearly basis.
