just for the future, something I started doing is weighing my spools when they are full and anything over 1Kilo I deem "Spool Weight" then before I start a big print I weigh the remaining spool of filament and make sure I have the estimated amount to be used on the spool. Since I started doing that I haven't run out on a print.

I use this quite often, for example printing invasion stripes on airplane wings and fuselage parts.

IT works extremely well.
