If you would like to get a piece and send it to me, I will cut it for you and send it back if you can cover shipping. On-line can send it straight here.

I travel a lot so might take a few days. As a matter, I am in Houston first of next month with APTA.

That is the one I used. There could be cheaper but I have good luck with their material.

Mine arrived flat and shiny also.

I edited the message after you replied, I will be in Houston first of October with APTA. Could bring it downtown.

The PEI has arrived, thanks to critical_limit for pointing out that Amazon needs to be prodded in order to send it.

I applied it to the best of my abilities. It does not have any air bubbles in it. Atleast none that you could identify as bubbles however it does look like it is a bit dirty at places. I knew i should not have trusted it to be very clean underneath the plastic wrapping. If those are indeed bubbles they do not appear to be larger than a few microns (but many of them grouped around the same spot).

Now i have to find my dremel tool and chop of the sides. And see how it goes from there.

It was a gift from my brother, who worked at aerocraft corporation and have it created there. I know it's not useful info, but what could I say :)

By any chance your brother isn't flying to texas in the coming weeks? It is customary to bring a plate of Aluminum 10mm here in Houston :-)

Printing a finger on its tip.

The blobbing on the right, i will deal with later. As i just printed a heat calibration tower probably forgot the retract settings or something.

I was previously printing abs at 232 degrees. Now i am down to 214.

So far so good. I sure do hope that the finger doesnt topple over creating a mess.

Thanks!.

So far i am very very happy with the pei. I may have a very tiny spot in the middle where i readjusted the Z height and left the hot nozzle standing there. But nothing major.

My isopropyl alcohol wipes did not arrive yet. So i wiped the bed down with acetone.

We shall see how the print ends.

BTW, how did you paste the PEI to the glass? I put line by line by line of the 3M strip :-)

I don see any of the lines in the picture, is it just that cannot be seen?

I bought the the big piece of tape.
I know line by line would have been cheaper. And may infact be better for bubble avoidance. But at the time i thought a single piece would be better and made the purchase. I have no idea why the big sheets cost so much more per cm^2 than the strips.

Oh dear. It failed.

Well i was asking for a lot. And i do not have the other settings tuned yet. So probably insufficient Z lift and retract.

My quick recipe to deal with lamination (sure you know that already!)
Pump up the heat and block the "wind" using cardboard.

Post it to fails :-)
