Your point about the broken glass is something I forgot about. It would be better to use paper rather then take a risk on breaking the glass. I have seen the pictures of the
broken glass and chunks of glass removed when removing the part.

I mentioned broken glass, and, the next day, dropped a screwdriver over the build plate... guess what ?... paper is NOT an efficient protection against falling tools.

I feel miserable. I usually put a cloth on top of the plate to protect it... just not this time.

You hexed yourself by mentioning it. Sorry to hear you broke it, those borasilic plates are expensive.
