Installing RepRapDiscount GLCD 12864

I want to change my kit included 2004R Smart Controller display with a RepRapDiscount GLCD 12864. I changed the value in my firmware (.91 SeeMe) to Define 11. The screen stays lit with no data. I tried adjusting contrast. Do I need to rewire the connector. The one included with display does not fit the Rambo board. Is there more to configure? It seemed simple enough.... LOL! I am including pics for reference.
