3d Printed hacksaw

Post by jaguarking11 »

I wanted a good way to cut steel precisely for my next project (home built CNC router). I was looking at chop saws and looking at power hacksaws. Nothing seem viable to me price wise. Nor did it have my flair. I decided to build my own saw.

Here is the youmagine stl's.

Here is a video I made on the subject.

What do you guys think?

Unfortunetly I cant seem to find the specs online for this motor. I will search some more when I get home and post the number as well as give a possible link to purchase it. I remember seeing it for sale @15usd or so refurbished. Which means used.

My motor came from who knows where. It has been in my toolbox for the better part of 5 years kicking around. At this point I don't remember where I got it.

I might have to build one of these to get by without a metal band-saw. Very cool!
