london based sfx artist, couldnt live without my printer

Post by vikingfx »

nice to join you all!

i'm a london based SFX artist student, in my last few months of uni then its off to the industry!

built my romax v2 about a year ago, build a reprappro prusa mendel before that so it was a signifigant upgrade.

had a chip come off my build plate a while back, flipped it over and stuck a pei sheet on (badly, glue sheet was an absolute pain). also switched to an e3d v6 hot end for doing petg and others. but since im broke now the bad bed and chips will stay for now.

if you are interested i post progress on instagram a lot, use my printer for mechanical parts (designed some animatronic hands, suit joints etc) and decorative details.

thats pretty much it :) ill be asking some questions pretty much straight away but ill make sure those are in the appropriate thread

thanks for having me :)

Welcome to the Forum vikingfx!
It's good to have you as a member but what a bummer that your glass had chips come off of it.
I am glad to see that you got the PEI installed on one side of the glass so you can still print.
We also welcome any questions or comments you may have and if you see a post that you can
answer, jump right in and help us out!

Happy Printing!
