A problem with extruder motor

Post by duvdev »

Hi all,

On one of my printers I have the bondtech QR extruder.
When I start to print the first layer is OK. when in start the second layer and all the above layers is will print the perimeters jusr find the in starts to print the infile and every time it end a line a touch the perimeter the head switch the direction but the extruder make a fast forward move ( pushing the filament in ). the move hs vary fast and I can hear a small "click" sound. The rest of the infill will be ok until the head will switch direction.

can some one please advise?
the slicer is simplify 3d and all my other printer with stock motors ain't doing the fast move.

thank.

If i understood correctly , that is called a retract. (Suck the filament back in so that it does not drip on to your print while moving). It is a setting that you can change.

On the ticking, that usually means that your extruder motor skipped a step. Which happens when it is too difficult to push the filament. Try going much slower to see if that solves the problem, or increasing the nozzle temp a bit to make pushing the filament easier.
When on mobile I am brief and may be perceived as an arsl.

Hi and thank for the fast responce.

I dont think that it is the retraction because the fast move is pushing the filametnt in and not retracting it.
When it makes a retraction it is working OK with no skipping sound.
