Hot end initial calibration.

So I managed to assemble my Max V2 and was going through the calibration steps when i came across an issue with my hot end. When performing the intial calibration for my hot end, the heater overshot and gave the overheating error. I then did the recomended change in the "Extr.1 PID drive max" from 205 to 128. I recieved the same message. Tried lowerinf the value to 100, 75, and even 50 in a desperate attempt to find some usable value. Can anyone give me any clue as to what's happening?

Not to ask a stupid question, but are you writing the values to the eprom?

I did exactly as the manual stated. Not one to miss steps. Talked to support today and found that I don't actually need to calibrate that on my machine. Current settings are completely fine.

okay... so I'm not the only one having this problem, but the "fix" is still a mystery to me. Someone clue me in?

The hot end temp runs quickly past 200, and then past 220 before it shuts down.

Is the autotune broken?
