Replacement for broken selector on lcd controller

Post by Curt »

Hi all, like the title says I am looking for a replacement for that encoder thingimajigy that you use to scroll through menus and make selections on the rostock max v2. The movers managed to snap it completely off! Since I print exclusively from SD card Im pretty dead in the water here. Thanks!

You might be better off just replacing the whole display,,,, If they knocked the selector off the pcb, what else got damaged? 45 bucks https://www.seemecnc.com/collections/pa ... controller

Pretty sure EC11E15244B2 is the part number you're looking for, if you just want to replace the encoder. Quantity 1 will probably cost you near $10 from a parts house once you add shipping.

But Mac has a point, if you find a more reasonably priced source for the display. They're generic, and can be had from China for under $10, or under $15 if you restrict yourself to US sources for fast shipping. Most of the listings include RAMPS adapters, which is irrelevant since you already have the RAMBO adapater. Everything else is the same (pcb color varies). Search for "2004 reprap display" on amazon, ebay, etc. The 2004 refers to the 20 character 4 line display that it uses.

I also recommend the replacement of the complete circuit board as the others have mentioned.
