Printer freezing with Pilot626 Firmware

Hey all, I recently helped a friend build a large delta printer using a Smoothieboard 5X as the controller, so naturally I wanted to try out Pilot626's simulated annealing calibration. Unfortunately, while this printer will run just fine on the stock smoothie firmware, when switching to Pilot's (pulled from github), it will freeze when I try to start a print. The printer will home, descend, make a couple moves, and then lock up completely and need to be power cycled.
I've attached the config file...it was copied straight off of the sample config on pilot's github, and only changed the relevant values for this machine's hardware. And in case it matters, I've been controlling the printer with Repetier host.
Any ideas?
