Adding Layer Fans

Hi There,
I've recently purchased an additional two layer fans for the rostock max. What is the best way of wiring these up? Can I just solder all three to the same wire from the rambo board or is it best to use a connector. Will I need a thicker wire to deal with the current draw from all three fans working at once?
Thanks,
Matt

You can use the same wire. No need to go thicker. A connector is always a good idea for any maintenance issues.

Use a 3pin-to-2wire connector on the cable side, that way you can plug whatever fan in on the hot end platform. Then use a case fan splitter cable to plug your fans into the power. this makes it braindead simple to swap out fans or add more later.
Cut the Molex connector off something like this to wire into the power cable

Pug something like this in, then connect your fans.

Ok Cool thanks both,
So bear with me here, I'm new to this (and am using UK edition of parts)
So if I want three layer fans, reckon I can butcher these for connectors?:

Then use this:

and wire in as you suggested?

Yes, that would work fine, although I personally would suggest getting the correct crimp pins and shells for the fans instead of adding another splice. Those being 2.54MM crimp pins (.1 inch), female, and Molex KK with ramp 3 position, female.
