For a while now I have been printing ABS filament wil no problem.. But I've got a project where I am using PLA...
I run the abs on the heatbed at 100c and 60c for the pla but I am that to get good layer adhesion for the first level for pla I need to lower my z-height -.6mm..
That seems like a lot to me... Is that normal or should I be looking for a problem?
Huge Z-height difference between abs and pla.

And you are also running your hot end at a cooler temperature also. I'd say that having to readjust the z height for different temperatures is not unusual.

So .6mm is within the realm you'd expect? That's good I was a bit worried my printer lost its calibration...

Thermal expansion,,, or lack there of because of less heat.
