Hello all you young whippersnappers! I'm just starting out with this "Hi-Tech" stuff and will have a lot of questions. Hope I can keep up. I'm building a Rostock V3, and have run into a few minor issues, but so far no 'show-stoppers'. The V3 is my first experience and it seems to be going together, with the excellent documentation. It should be ready within the month. No rush, I'm retired!

There's no age limit, don't worry. Some of our best members are the oldest ones.

My dad's 62, and I gave him a pile of printer parts for Christmas right after he'd had a diabetic leg amputation. You could literally see that being couped up waiting on a wound to heal for more than a year was killing him. It really was... Anyway, a month or two later, after lots of phone calls and parts runs, we got him up and running, and he hasn't stopped since.

This is the one printable model that he was drooling over, so it's my favorite one of his prints.


Anyway, if a one legged man in his 60's can pull it off, I'm sure you'll be just fine

I am also retired and I welcome you to the forum.
This is a great place to ask questions, answer questions and learn a great deal about Delta printers.

You can thank Geneb and SeemeCNC for the great documentation and build experience. I think for it's size, the V3 is probably among the simplest printers on the market. It's certainly a lot neater and easier to build from a look at it than the V2, with a huge number of clever tricks and well though out parts. I hope you enjoy having it around.

No. I'm a broke college student. I just ended up looking over the whole manual, and what CAD data I found.
