Sharing STL/OpenSCAD source code

I'm not sure which section in the forums I should put this.

So, I'm trying to figure out how to share my STL/OpenSCAD files for all the cosplay props I've 3D printed over the years. There's two parts to the problem:

1. What is a good way to host a site as a repository of these files, or if there is one that isn't Thingiverse (which I will not use due to philosophical reasons), which one is the best? I've already tried to do it in my Wordpress blog, but it seems that the software locks it down so I could only host pictures and video.
2. What's the best way to get it organic reach using Facebook (as it's my main way of communicating with the folks that follow my work)?

Can't help you with the marketing part of it, but you might look at http://repables.com/ for the filesharing site. It's not flashy or deluxe, but it's supported by SeeMe so it's open source all the way with no question about ownership or legality. You could also just use GitHub.

There are a bunch of different sites for it that aren't thingiverse. I personally use Repables primarily, although Pinshape is another one (but Gawd, the script heaviness of their pages, and you can't download without an account).
I'm not sure how well any of them will integrate with facebook, but if you used image links to the site, it will not only let you put your own photos up, they take renders of all the STL's too. I personally avoid facebook (Philosophical reasons, which I'm sure you'll understand). I could go find a list if you're really interested in knowing a bunch of them, but I largely don't see the point of all that many sites.

I just looked at Pinshape... wow, that is scripting gone wild. I'm sure I would piss off a whole bunch of people putting my stuff there.

The reason why I was asking about possible ways of improving the reach of posts is that my previous attempt at doing this last year (basically, making a publicly available Google Drive folder and sharing the link) was basically purposely nixed by Facebook by killing its reach (and the main reason why I don't use any other social media platform is that I have enough trouble trying to juggle one platform, let alone do 5 or 6 of them). I'm probably approaching this the wrong way, but you guys know I rather be making and sewing things instead of having to deal with social media. :(

I'll look into using Repables and GitHub and see which works better for my purposes.
