Hardware build completed in two solid days

I finished up the hardware last night ... at least I don't have many parts left. Over two days, I estimate I spent about 20 hours getting to this point. Next up is firmware, then whatever needs to happen to set up a toolchain.

I've never printed 3D parts before, or even been exposed to them, so I'm a complete newbie, however I do CNC machining, so lots of the build were recognizable. I was short by 1 nut, two screws and some shrink tubing. Overall, the most difficult part was figuring out which bag to get the screws out of. My biggest mistake? Putting the bottom tower support bearing on the wrong position. Maybe a warning is warranted at that step?

I agree, but given the final position of the supports, the penalty for getting it wrong in this step is a bit painful.

I`m in the middle of the build, and have to agree that to find out what bag to use is the biggest challenge up until now. :)
The overall instructions are very good.

But I managed to Brake the thermomister while putting the PTFE tube onto each legs duringHE280 Assembly. Was pretty gentle but it cracked in half.
Perhaps an idea to add a spare one if it is suposed to be this fragile.

I agree 100%. My thermister also broke in my gentle hands and I have heard of another builder with the same problem, so it's a problem for sure. I also have spent a lot of time looking for hardware. After the first step, the guidance in the instructions disappeared for what hardware bag was located where. Some hardware is on a bag not related to the build on 2 occasions.

How did you mount the Rambo fan? The animation shows no hardware. Also the instructions show no hardware. Just my luck the hardware is in the EZStruder bag or something.

The rambo fan is held in place with a couple of wire ties.

I used some 3MM machine screws with nyloc nuts to mount my rambo fan.

Now that my enclosure is complete, I'm thinking of moving it and blocking the lower vents to get fresh air from the outside instead of the build area.
I already did something like that on the bottom.

I figured out the wire tie piece but had to ask about the direction of air flow as it was not mentioned.

I'm pretty sure the animation that shows the fan installation tells you the orientation. My kit was pre-production, so it uses a smaller fan and in a different location.
