Hello all, I have been using the RepRapDiscount LCD Smart Adapter on RAMPS with Merlin and it works just fine. So I know all the connections, etc are correct. I also know how to configure to use it in Marlin. Now, I want to switch to Repetier since it has some nice features and is nicely integrated into Repetier Host. I have been able to configure Repetier without the LCD Smart Adapter on RAMPS so I know that works. As soon as I enable the Smart Adapter, RAMPS no longer connects to the host and the LCD just shows lit squares (no text at all and not blacked out).
I have gone through the Repetier install guide on their website and scrutinized the code. I grabbed a clean downloaded and started from scratch. So far, no joy. Anyone have any luck with this combination? I plan to run this on my H-1 and H-1.1 and perhaps my Rostock Max (when it arrives).
Is Repetier firmware OK for the Max?
cheers,
Michael

Re: RAMPS + Repetier + LCD Smart Adapter
I use repetier, and find it behaves better than Marlin for the delta in general.
I have an LCD controller, it arrived Friday and I haven't had a chance to connect it, the existing pin mappings in Repetier are very wrong for the RRD console and last time I tried enabling the LCD it did bad things.
I'm travelling for the next couple of weeks so I won't be able to look at the issue, but I will when I get back.
