Help with a part

I'm printing an Action Cam mount. Still being new to this, when strength is needed, do you print with 100% infill?

Using PET-G.
I need more strength in the circled area. When I put a little pressure on it, the layers separated. Not sure if that indicates not printing at high enough temp or maybe too much layer fan cooling. Any suggestions really apprieciated.

Using Cura slicer.

Which way p are you printing it, I'd print it with the part facing the camera on the build plate.
Printed parts are like wood, the direction of the "grain" makes a huge difference in strength.

That section may already be 100% infill. It's a very small cross-section and it's common for slicers to take small areas to 100%.

Layer bonding will usually improve with temperatures at the higher end of the acceptable range for the material if the hot end you're using is up to it, but I'd say that isn't a great design in the best of cases. The region where failure is occurring is the region of highest stress and it's also been made the thinnest section of the entire part. That middle section would benefit from being thicker and I'd also consider radii or chamfers smoothing the load transfer into the base wherever it won't interfere with other parts on installation. If the offset isn't functionally important you might even make that section vertical.

Kind of hard to tell the entire shape of the object from the view, but im guessing its something like this, of course, with more detail and stuff.

Is there a way you could design it so its meant to be printed vertically?

Blue is the build plate, red would be supports. Depending on the directions of the forces and stuff, this would probably be the best for the 'grain'.

You could also try chamfering the top edges of the part to give it a way to stick to the bed and then rotate it to print in an A-frame shape.
