I loaded the firmware and was able to connect with mattercontrol however when I load the gcode the printer arms doesnt move at all. I found the terminal and here is the error code. Also I have the raspberry Pi and I dont know how to power the power with the mirco usb, does it connect to the rambo? thanks

When you loaded the gcode, did you preheat the hot end and bed or let the gcode do it? If the later, how long did you wait, it takes multiple minutes to warm up.

Or are you talking about loading the calibration gcode file? I don't see anything in the log that looks like an error. What are you referring to?

Multiple minutes? oh, I saw the youtube video and the arms were moving automatically after the calibration gcode file was loaded

You are not clear about what "gcode" file you are talking about, If you are talking about the calibration file, then it should start immediately. Is that what you are doing? The log file seems to say that the calibration proceeded correctly.

Did you initiate the code by pushing the print button? It doesn't just happen automatically when you load the gcode.

I pressed the print button for sure. I tried to load the gcode onto a sd card and that didnt work either. I tested the hot bed and the hot end and they both work on the LCD menu. I fear there might be something wrong with the stepper motors/wiring because it will not home the printer and the arms have never moved despite multiple attempts to calibrate the printer.

Can you jog the printer at all? Have you ever seen the arms move? If not, you need to track that down. Wiring issue, blown fuse on the RAMBo and other issues could be the culprit. Your first task is to get the arms to move using the jogging controls on Matter Control.

I went to mattercontrol, connected the printer and went to the control setting where I manually adjusted the bed temperature with success but could not jog the arms. I checked the rambo and it appears all the power cords are in. Curiously, none of the arms have ever moved.

I found the problem! The power cable into the rambo had many loose connections and after fixing that the arms now move!! However a terrible sound was made when the motors went all the way to the top without stopping. I think I found the problem, the screws that trigger the endstop switch are too short. I am going to go to the store and see if I can buy longer screws. Ill post later after I try the longer screws. Thanks for all your help. I have learned a great deal and this is quite a machine.

Are you saying that the carriages hit something else before the screws touched the end-stop switches? I find that difficult to believe. On this Orion, which is not that different from a V3, the screws are higher than anything on the carriage and the endstop switch is lower than anything else attached to the top-plate. I have heard that putting the switches in backwards is a common problem. Make sure the screws are lined up with the little clicky bump on the switch.

I believe when my dear family put together the carriages they used shorter screws. I got it fixed and now I'm trying to learn how to print with ABS. Thanks for your help!
