"Printer reset detected" mid print

Moving this post from Rostock Max v2 section to here.
Looking for advice: Recently did the HE280 hot end upgrade on my Rostock Max v2 and now the printer keeps resetting as soon as it starts to print. Sometimes it will print the first layer, other times it will reset as soon as the hot end reaches the bed. The bed and hot end are heating up fine. This happens when connected by USB cable from PC and when printing from SD card. The error "Printer reset detected - initializing" shows up in the log file.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

Here is a video for reference.

You might want to check your wiring. It sounds like you might have a short or intermittent connection.

Did you ever figure out your problem? I had a similar issue where my v3 would reset at random times during a print. I flashed the newest firmware and used a new SD card and problem was solved. Hope this helps.

I had a similar issue that turned out to be because my power supply was overheating due to obstructed airflow (I was updating an older Rostock Max v1, the base of which is lacking some of the thermal optimization from later versions). I ended up eliminating the problem by running the PSU outside of the enclosure, sitting on the workbench next to the machine; haven't had an electronics-related failure since.
