This may not work but I'm going to create a prototype of a turntable platform for stop-motion photography

I plan on using this turntable from the local home-improvement store

I will be using this 24-tooth fixed gear - I guess this would be the "sun gear" as the "planet gear" will be attached to a servo, hopefully rotating the platform round and round

It's very exciting to get phenomenal results with my first 3D model (I printed the 20x20x10mm test cube yesterday)

I'm really surprised how easy it is to use this Eris printer - wow! I've already gotten every penny of my money's worth out of this machine!

Congrats! Printing the first part that you've designed yourself is truly a right of passage!

I still get a thrill (after thousands of prints) from printing out a unique part that came from my mind.

Typical with many . . . probably most . . . of my designs, I encountered too many problems

Each was "solvable" but collectively, well, sometimes you just know it's time to rip out "Plan B"

(ha)

One question (which, I should probably post somewhere else but . . . ) I'm not having any problems with the Eris printer but I do wonder if I really need to run the calibration print/routine after I start it up each day

well done! I can remember similar feelings about my first printed design. My v2 max is the best investment I have ever made. Is a servo not overkill for this project ? A simple nema 17 stepper as used in the printer, driven by a basic uno with a stepper motor board can do anything you need. good luck with your project
