New V3 Hotend Fans Won't Tuen On

Post by Ravitch »

Hi All,

So I just got done a marathon V3 build and only have two issues. One is the Heated Bed LED light doesn't come in. Not a big deal so I probably won't go trouble shooting it.

The fans on my hot end won't come on though. I think it's related to where the fans plug into the hot end board where those two small two white clips are. The instructions don't say anything about them, just one minute the board doesn't have them and next minute it does. They just kind of flop around until you hook the fans up and put the top cover on which cinched it down. Are those supposed to be soldered on?

Thanks for any help.

These are the two whit connector pieces I was talking about in the lower left. The instructions dont talk about them at all, then they just show up installed on the board. Should I have soldered them? I'm thinking my fans not coming on are due to these connectors.

I take it you completely skipped past Step 35 in the HE280 assembly instructions? :D

Yep, I'm a big idiot. That's what I get for starting my build at midnight when I got up at 3 AM that same day and stayed up all night taking off work the next day until I got it finished.

It is pretty funny though, I was so tired when I posted this that I look like I'm drunk with all the typos. Now I have to look over the machine to see what I screwed up in the billed for letting my excitement get the best of me, though I shouldn't open up Pandora's box since it's printing beautifully!

Thanks for the reply :)

Not an idiot, just...rushed. :)
