Seem to have an issue with the Z

With a small calibration cube ... The first layer looks good, the second layer looks OK and the third layer doesn't even touch (so it is extruding in the air). Any ideas?

I do not know but a picture says more than a thousand words

Well, lets just say that up until now (after all of the other fixes) it would simply fail to stick the first layer well. If it DID then the third layer was a disaster.

So way back with the earlier effector issues I had ordered a new spool of ColorFabb PLA. I stuck it on today after I posted this thread (no other changes) and it is off to the races and printing fine.

Lesson learned.
