Upgrade woes, endstop doesn't line up

Post by Glacian22 »

I've been happily running my RMax V1 for a long while now, making incremental upgrades along the way; I replaced the original giant extruder, bought carbon fiber arms, swapped the hotend for a Prometheus. About 6 months ago I bought the new molded carriages, ball joint arms, and matching effector, and yesterday I finally found the time to install them.

Everything went smoothly, they look and feel great, but there's one problem...the screw on the carriages doesn't tap the endstop switches anymore. They're placement is much closer to the vertical extrusion than the original melamine carriages. The melamine piece that holds the endstops does have other mounting holes, but there's a screw coming down from above which holds the tower in place, and takes up the space that the endstop would occupy if I moved it closer to the tower.

If I had a working printer, I could make an adapter or something, but obviously right now I don't. Has anyone else made the jump to these carriages on a V1? If so, any advice?

Flip the switches around. :) I had the same problem when upgrading my v1's.
