A great print remover

Post by Dale Eason »

I have found a great 3D print removal tool that helps remove prints stuck to the bed. Probably does not work on tapped beds. I use it on my PEI bed.

This is a handle for a single edge razor blade. I find it much better than the paint knife that came with the kit.

I have been using a nice sturdy, retractable, inexpensive metal blade holder from the local hardware store.

This does ot scratch for me because of the angle you use it. Because the way the handle holds the blade the angle it is to the surface is very small. It is almost parallel to the surface so that it does not dig in. That is why this one is so good compared to what I use to do which was try to hold the blade with my fingers at a good angle. But that is next to impossible since your fingers need to get under the back end of the blade to provide force.

I use the handle pretty much flat to the surface.
