How to autocalibrate using Simplify3d

Post by nrbelk »

I recently purchased Simplify3D and so far I really like it.

So far the only problem I have is that I'm not sure how to do the autocalibration using the Simply3D interface. Anyone know what I need to do?

As part of that, if I also need to know where to put in variations for the autocalibration. Like if I need to add some height to a certain Z setting.

Bring up the Machine Control Panel and Connect to the printer
click on the communications tab
near the bottom you can enter the G29 and click send
or setup one of the macro keys to do it
Goto Tools / Firmware Configuration
In the window click on the Macro Tab
you can change the name of the macro button here so put in something like Auto Cal
then in the text box below but in G29
then click ok. ignore the message about the process, you can't change marcos in the edit process dialogs
go back to Machine Control Panel and now you have a Button for Auto Cal

hope that's what you where after
