Trouble uploading firmware

Hello,

I think I've cocked up somewhere. I tried to upload a pre-compiled firmware (compiled in Arduino), and now the board will no longer reply to programming requests.

The green light is on, there is a yellow light flashing very fast, and the Rx light also blinks. I'm at a loss for what to do next. just keeps telling me that the programmer is not responding to the messages.

Code: Select all

Arduino: 1.8.2 (Windows 7), Board: "Arduino/Genuino Mega or Mega 2560, ATmega2560 (Mega 2560)"

Sketch uses 137510 bytes (54%) of program storage space. Maximum is 253952 bytes.
Global variables use 7447 bytes (90%) of dynamic memory, leaving 745 bytes for local variables. Maximum is 8192 bytes.
Low memory available, stability problems may occur.

Try pressing the reset button on the rambo right after the avrdude command.

I emailed Support on this issue and JJ suggested disconnecting the accelerometer and trying to upload again. I did that, and also didn't click the rear power button on until I was actually clicking upload at the same time. The reset button wasn't working for what people kept suggesting.

Part of the initial problem is that I had partially flashed a firmware+bootloader file and corrupted part of the bootloader which caused a series of other problems. I re-flashed it with a firmware+bootloader and it worked.
