Hi, i purchased the rostock max v3 around december and have put it on hold for a while after i built it and when i plug the printer in the wall and my computer and upload everything the lcd says something along the lines of, "seemecnc rostock max v3 repetier version 0.92.2" when the online guide says it should just have the temperature of the nozzle and bed. Ive reuploaded the firmware the drivers and cleared the eeprom dozens of times and still when i connect to matterspace it wont move at all, please help I am in dire straits and would really like to have this printer up and movin. Thanks!!!!

Has it worked before, is this a new symptom?

I've seen this problem when the whip is not properly seated in the hotend.

Are you talking about the big black insolated cord with a bunch of different wires inside, because i checked and to my knowledge it it properly secured and no the printer has never worked, if you think anything else would be interfering with it please let me know Thanks!!!

I had trouble with the polarity of the thermistor wire in the hotend bundle. The accelerometer board uses the ground from the thermistor, so if you have the wires switched it tries to get ground through the data communication pins. Is the yellow tx/rx serial light on the Rambo flashing like crazy when you turn it on?

This sounds like a wiring issue. Double check your whip wiring on both ends. If it's wired incorrectly it'll produce this exact problem.

Unplug your I2C wires from the Rambo board. It's the red and black wire in the 4 pin connector. If it gets past the boot screen it means that your wiring for those wires is incorrect.

The boot screen is the screen that shows the firmware version and date for a second before it switches to the temperature screen

I'm saying this is a way to find out if the I2C wires in the whip are wired incorrectly.

If your LCD panel get's to the Temp screen without the whip plugged into the hot end, and freezes when it is plugged in, then it sounds like you have faulty wiring in the whip. Head back to the manual and double check both your connections to the rambo and the connector at the hotend to make sure everything is routed correctly.
When the whip is connected, are any of the led's on the hotend lit?

Your whip is wired incorrectly. If all the colors look like they are in the right order, you probably have them in the connector backwards. Double check the orientation of the connector and reverse all the wires. Willing to bet this will fix your problem
