Loose heated bed

Post by ared38 »

Hi everyone! I'm building a Rostock V3 and am confused about the heated bed. The instructions say the glass should be held by the clamps, but I have a gap:

Here's how I installed the mount in the base assembly:

Has anyone encountered the same problem?

Rotate the clamp 180 degrees. The wide, flat part is supposed to be in contact with the glass, not the handle end. :)

Doh, thanks geneb! Unfortunately there's still a gap, I can fit a quarter between the glass and the clamp easily:

Then you might have the bed support blocks installed upside down. You can either flip them or use a pair of pennies at each location to hold the glass long enough for you to print some spacers. :)

Thanks geneb! Two quarters filled the gap nicely. I'll try printing spacers once it's calibrated.
