Hi all,
I've been reading the posts in the forum for a while but haven't posted yet. Now that I just finished printing and building a plane from 3DLabprint, I think it may be a good time to introduce myself here.
I'm a grad student in central Texas and majored in Chemistry (although I do Pchem and do not mess with chemicals a lot). I got the new V3 during the black Friday sale. Since then I've started my life as a 3d printer. I managed to struggle through the hard deep learning curve period and is happy printing now (although small problems do happen from time to time and I know there is a lot more to learn).
Attached is my freshly printed Q Trainer. Hope you like it.
BTW I am from China.

Yes, It should be able to fly. I am still new to RC yet, so I plan to work on the simulator a little bit before actually take it into the wild.

I'm printing out the glider from 3DLabPrint, and the ailerons are going to drive me batty(er). They're printed, rather poorly, but should suffice. I'm currently waiting on some clear PLA to show up to do the rest of the print.

On the elevator you can see the artifacts on the surface.
Is this something the Artemis 300 reduces? Is it a V3 issue?

Those planes require being able to print very thin layers. Was that a problem with the V3? The manufacturer recommends the Prusa mk2 fir those planes

For the elevators/ailerons it's printing them vertically that does you in. The part gets pretty wobbly as gets near the top and the hot end mostly just pushes it around.

The fuselage printed up very nicely. I followed the recommended settings and printed it (on my V2) at .2mm.

What black material is that?

PLA. It really is easier to print than ABS by a long shot.
