Print quality issue

The calibration cube printed great, no blobs or gaps/holes. The extrusion multiplier came out to .86. Next I printed the fan shroud but I didn't get anywhere close to the same print quality as the calibration cube.

Here's my settings for ABS using MatterControl

Hotend: 225C
Bed (enclosed) :95C
Speed: 30mm/s
Non-print speed: 250mm/s
Retraction: 4mm, 15mm/s
Zlift: .5mm
Layer Height: .2mm
Nozzle: .5
Fill Density: 20%

Any suggestions?

Hey try posting a picture of the print. Its easier to diagnose a quality issue thats present! Also you retraction speed looks a little slow for how far your retraction distance is, with your posted settings that is the only thing that looks out of place and might present quality issues. Post a picture and im sure you will have plenty of responses jumping in on what your issue might be!

I'm thinking the retraction distance is too high period. The HE280 (Given you're a new poster with new issues, I'm assuming a V3), is based off the E3D Geometry to an extent, and any retractions above 2mm are potentially problematic with both. Additionally, the extrusion multiplier should always be at or near 1. If it's consistent, change the extruder steps per mm.

I acquired an older V2 and have the stock hotend. I haven't gone through the extruder step calibration yet, I just have it set at the default value of 92.65. I will go through the calibration and change the extruder steps as you suggested.
