Hi Guys,

Just looking a for a little advice before I pull the machine apart...

My V2 had been sitting around for a while while I was going through a house renovation/ shed build.... so the poor little fella sat around gathering dust for over 12 months.

I have it back up and running now (had to reload the firmware after I did something in Arduino IDE to mess it up....) If I run the Z calibration process and get it pretty good then check and recheck Z it seems to creep up and up until its significantly off the bed....

Checked the belts and they seem good, no wear and not too tight or too loose. I hate the end stop screws in the moulded carriages so will try and do something better there. Any Ideas?

Prometheus V2
Bond Tech QR
Trick Laser 325mm CF arms
Moulded carriages

Everything is level and straight as I have checked a heap of times. I have just adjusted the belt tension to see if that fixes the issue..... Would a loose belt cause the z height to fluctuate? Its a pain because im getting inconsistent results when doing the horizontal radius calibration.

Any help appreciated.

As you change the horizontal radius, the Z zero point is going to change. This happens because as you adjust the HR, the travel path is going to be either convex or concave until you've got the HR set to a value that results in travel that's perpendicular to the bed. The Z height should be the absolute last thing you set after you've calibrated the horizontal radius (or "delta" radius).
