I was wondering if anyone has had this issue. My rostock max v2 will, sometimes at the start of a print, and sometimes randomly at any point during a print, raise up several inches and off to the side printing off the bed into nothing. At first i thought it was the size of the prints i was trying (i have done others of this size in the past) but it happened during another print that was at least several inches away from the white border lines.
Also when using the macros to manually calibrate the machine for each tower, after going to the z tower point and then homing it, when the screw hits the limit switch it jitters up and down real fast before reaching its home position, instead of hitting it once and moving down like it should. But homing from the other two macro tower points do not cause the same sound and movement issue. I am unsure if these two things are related.
Thanks for any help with this.

Re: Printing in air
I am having the same issue, but it mostly came to be after I switched the printer to a different computer. I've tried just about everything, but I think it may have to do with the latest update. Hope someone also has a solution!
EDIT:
I ended up troubleshooting part by part, and the belts were loose. Tightening them fixed it all up! Hope this helps too

Re: Printing in air
If you're printing with MatterControl, try Cura instead. Cura won't talk to the printer, so you'll need to print via the SD card.
