I can't seem to lift it off of the aluminum heat spreader.
I purchased a ready to print model, so I didn't build it myself.
I just want to clean it, there isn't anything wrong with it.
thanks,

how do I change the glass build plate on the Artemis?
Re: how do I change the glass build plate on the Artemis?
The heat spreader stays in place, It's not removed. The glass fits over the heat spreader and then clips into place.
The spreader assembly floats on the force sensitive resistors, So you don't want to really remove it.
The heat spreader also has a clear sticker on it with seemecnc logo. Beyond blowing dirt off I've never really cleaned it.
Cleaning the glass is another story. Sometimes I print on the glass and sometimes I use elmers glue stick which is water soluble.
I clean the glass in the sink with water and sometimes I use 99% alcohol. Distilled water is also a good cleaner, It's a dirt magnet.
The glass tends to adhere to the sticker-heat-spreader. I usually remove the glass by lifting the part out. There is also a tab which is used to get under the glass as to pull it up.

If you're careful, you can use the little spatula (I can't recall if they're still included in kits) to slide under the glass and OVER the vinyl decal - you can do this where the finger notch is at the base of the X tower.

If it's really stuck on there and you're afraid of it breaking then contact support. It may save you $40.
Re: how do I change the glass build plate on the Artemis?
thanks, it does seem to be fused, I tried lifting it with a paint scraper. Some strong surface tension. I'll try it again when it's hot.
Re:Fixed: how do I change the glass build plate on the Artemis?
Heating it up and then gently prying it up w/ a paint scraper did the trick.

Awesome, that's something to put in a master list of tips/info-bits for this printer.
Re: how do I change the glass build plate on the Artemis?
i used this type of spatula, while slightly warm, and slid in under glass at the little half-moon, straight in, then slowly, back and forth, left/right, then sorta popped off (and of course make sure youve turned all 3 plastic holders sideways!)
