Appearance of Parts Tapering with Z-Height

Good morning SeeMeCNC Community!
I just had a quick question. Has anyone ever experienced a print tapering in ever so slightly as they increase in Z-height? I printed a model that is quite long and cut into about 4 or 5 pieces along the length and it seems like the ends aren't matching up accurately. The top of one piece is just slightly smaller than the bottom of the other piece. There is no elephant's foot occurring which I thought might be the initial case. I'm wondering if it's a scaling issue but that would make sense if both ends were seeing the same thing, not just one end. It's very minor but it's enough that they don't line up and you can tell! Any thoughts would be great, but it's not stopping me from printing in general right now so I'm in no immediate rush to get it taken care of. Just looking to see if anyone else has experienced something similar! I plan to do a scaling change using M579 to see if that helps but otherwise, I'm just rolling with it as is.
Model: Rostock Max V2
Upgrades: DuetWifi, FSR leveling, Carbon rods, 7" Duet Screen, E3D-V6 hot end, new but original carriages, aluminum CNC milled ball joints.
