This may sound like a dumb question, but i've spent hours looking for a "Good" source (Variety, price, quality, dependable stock) and am beginning to think I should just order from where ever.
I've heard Ultimachine.com is good, but they are a bit pricy and don't have many colors available in 1.75 ABS.
I had very decent results with I've printed filament from http://www.protoparadigm.com/ but I haven't really heard much about them and I'm hesitant to make a big purchase from them.
Seemecnc has great prices, decent selection, but the last few times I've looked they were out of many colors. I'm currently running their black ABS, and I can't say anything about the quality because I haven't printed much and changed my nozzle size when I switched to their filament.
Other sites i've seen are:
http://www.3dprinterstuff.com
http://www.octave.com/
Makerbot.com
https://rainbot3d.com
There are soo many sources and I just want a sense of what other people are doing. It also would be nice to buy colors like black and natural in larger sized reels.

Some of the octave ABS 1 kg rolls on amazon have free shipping. It's cheaper than on the octave.com website.

Re: POLL: Where do you buy filament?
I've bought from Ultimachine, SeeMeCNC and Protoparadigm and I'd recommend all 3.
I bought 5 rolls of PLA from http://www.repraper.com/ for $18 a roll, it was closer to $25 with shipping, the diameter is inconsistent and it's picky about temperature, but in the end I got a lot of good prints out of it.
I wouldn't recommend it to someone who hadn't printed with known "good" filament, but if cost is a primary motivator it's not horrible.
I figured out what I spend on filament in a year and it just isn't worth it to me to buy from somewhere other than the three I listed in the first line.

Thanks, I figure I am going to keep buying from SeeMeCNC, they happen to be out of black right now and it's good to see other people are using protoparadigm.Polygonhell wrote:I've bought from Ultimachine, SeeMeCNC and Protoparadigm and I'd recommend all 3.
