Hello everyone! My name is Bill, I have a 5 year old Rostock MAx Vers 1, and just finished putting it together.
No, it didn't take 5 years, lol!
But I am a bit confused, printer turns on shows temp on the screen, but I can't get it to move
on the manual repetier page/program. I assume i have to update the firmware first but not
sure what version to download, there are a lot of questions they ask to get the right one.
other than picking "rostock" do i have to worry about the other values? Will these be changed when I
do the rest of the set up?

Are you working from the most recent version of the v1 manual?

If I remember correctly, the v1 RAMBo controllers didn't have firmware shipped on them, but I'm not sure.

I would suggest Repetier v0.91 be flashed if it is not already there.

I believe I have the right firmware and arduino but I am unclear how to upload to the motherboard. I keep getting "compilation error" (or something like that)

any help greatly appreciated!
