bed temperature

I have a Rostock Max V2 that has been upgraded with the newer extruder, etc. I have been printing fine. However, recently when I try to print, the bed heats up, the extruder heats up, the printing starts and then the bed temperature starts dropping until the printer goes into DEF mode. Any suggestions?

Does it seem to take the bed longer to heat up also? I would check the terminals on the RamBO board, check that the screws are tight, as the connection can loosen over time with the repeated heat cycles.

No. It takes about the same amount of time.

Is your v2 equipped with an ATX power supply? If so, get your bed heating and hot end heating at the same time and check the voltage at either the hot end terminals or the bed terminals on the RAMBo board. It shouldn't be any lower than 12v. What reading do you get?

I'd also check the bed terminal block on the RAMBo to make sure that it's not melted - the screws can loosen over time, so even if it's not damaged, make sure the connections are still tight.
