Heated bed not working
I had to re load software because computer crashed
I got everything back to normal but now hot bed doesn't work it reads o degrees I unplugged the hotend thermistor and plugged the hotbed in its spot and it reads the temp so I plugged the hotend back where it goes and tried the hotbed thermistor in the other three and nothing all read 0 degrees ?

Check the wiring.[email protected] wrote:I had to re load software because computer crashed

It's a very simple device, no moving parts, most likely a wire is loose.
If the wiring looks good, disconnect it from the Rambo board and measure the resistance at the bed it should be around 100K.
If that reads bad, pull the bed off and measure it at the thermistor leads if that reads bad, either you have a short in the wiring, or the thermistor is dead.
It's really easy to have a short because the hole in the center of the bed is plated.

It reads a temp when I unplug the hot end thermistor and plug the hot bed thermistor where the hot end goes?? I was thinking it was a software issue because of that?

The software just reads the value the firmware supplies.[email protected] wrote:It reads a temp when I unplug the hot end thermistor and plug the hot bed thermistor where the hot end goes?? I was thinking it was a software issue because of that?
Then assuming that you've not changed the software since it worked, the odds are you damaged the input pin on the arduino, but that usually requires shorting with a power line.
If this is the case you can change the heated bed thermistor pin in the firmware and plug it not one of the other thermistor ports.

Yeah the software was messed up when my computer crashed I had to fix all the settings I had changed before in the software now the only thermistor port that reads a temp is the top one

Re: Heated bed not working
Where would I go to check the software for the heat bed and which thermistor it is supposed to be plugged into?

It's defined in the firmware in pins.h, where did you get the firmware from?[email protected] wrote:Where would I go to check the software for the heat bed and which thermistor it is supposed to be plugged into?

The the pins should be mapped correctly unless you changed them.[email protected] wrote:From the link in geneb's manual
I assume you've tried the other thermister inputs and you don't get a bed temperature, the bed thermister is in the 3rd one down if I remember correctly.
